Traffic Management for Le Chéile Educate Together National School

Our school grounds have limited parking facilities.  In light of this, the Drogheda Grammar School has generously given us permission to use the Mill Road car park until further notice (Grammar School property).  However, parking in all other areas of the Grammar School campus is not allowed, and is inconsiderate.  These spaces are for Grammar school staff, parents & visitors only.

For those using the Mill Road car park, please be aware that Grammar school classes start at 9am and are still in progress at 3pm. When walking through the grounds please walk along the path at the front of the school (not through tunnel), and keep noise at a minimum. Parents can access our campus through the gate at the side of the DGS gym hall.  Please be aware of teaching ongoing in DGS as you travel through their grounds, and please only use the steps from the (Mill Road) car park.  They have been so considerate; we should try to inconvenience their community as little as possible.  Please do not park anywhere else on DGS grounds other than the Mill Road car park.  

Please follow the arrows on the diagram here when you are driving into the school.   In the morning, there is NO PARKING in areas marked DROP OFF only.

If you want to bring your child to the gate or the yard, please park in the Mill Road and walk over. 

Please only use marked Set Down areas for Drop Off, not the gates or Emergency exit.  In order for this system to work people must not block the flow of traffic i.e. please do not drop children off in the middle of the road, pull into areas marked Drop Off.  If this is done the drop off system will work and children will remain safe.  You may stop your car briefly while helping your children from car but please be aware of other families arriving on campus and waiting to use the Drop Off area. 

Please ensure you open the path-side doors for children to leave the car.

FOR THE SAFETY OF ALL CHILDREN PLEASE DO NOT PARK ON FOOTPATHS AT ANY TIME
