Bus supervisors urgently needed for 2010-'11
We are currently updating the rota for parents/guardians who participate in the school bus volunteering system for the new year. Please take a look at the rota by clicking here, and perhaps you can fill one of the slots?
Even though many children & families benefit from the school bus system, we don't always have enough help, and many of our volunteers have been supervising for a couple of years.
Does your child take the bus? Can you please take some time to help out with supervision, once a week?
The supervisors are there for several reasons and for every child - from Junior Infants to 6th Class;
· If a child falls there’s someone there to help
· If a child is unsure if they are to get the bus there’s someone there to advise
· If a child misses the bus there’s someone there to guide
· If a bus is delayed there’s someone there to reassure
We have done all of the above, maybe it was your child we helped?

If you have not yet received a ticket for your child(ren), please contact Bus Eireann in Dundalk 042 9334041 or Drogheda 041 983 5023, and ask to speak to the school bus department or inspector. Please note, if your child was previously issued with a ticket, s/he may not receive a replacement ticket each year, but this does not affect his/her entitlement to travel - unless advised by Bus Eireann.
